The many meanings of concierge service
Concierge services is a somewhat ambiguous term. Luxury concierge services (also known as nightlife concierges), as has been discussed on this site ad nauseum, are services that not only offer transport in your choice of car from a fleet of high class automobiles, but also can assist with last-minute reservations to popular dining rooms and entrance to hot nightclubs. Hotel concierge is a man or woman who can assist with all information needed by a traveler who is unfamiliar with the city in question. But a concierge-level room? What is that?
The Disneyland hotel offers concierge-level rooms to guests who would like to pay a premium for upgraded lodging. The concierge-level rooms’ main perk is that guests in these rooms get access to the premium concierge lounge. There are many benefits to lounge access, though certain customers might not find them to match the increase in price compared to a non-concierge level room.
The concierge lounge offers free breakfast and then free snacks throughout the day. The other popular feature of the concierge lounge is the wall-to-wall windows looking over the entire park. These windows are a popular perch from which to watch the Disneyland fireworks. The concierge lounge also offers free DVD rentals of Disney movies, which would come in very handy for anyone who falls ill during their stay. Of course, we hope nobody does fall ill, but if they do, spending the day watching Disney movies is nowhere near as bad as it gets.
